Healthy Relationships

Building Healthy Relationships and a Safer Sex Life

Relationships aren't one size fits all. Everyone wants and needs different things in their love life. No matter what it looks like, being with someone should make you happy. It should improve your life. It shouldn't make you sad or scared.

Being with someone doesn't have to mean sex. If you don't want sex right now, that's okay. If you don't want sex ever, that's okay as well. Talking openly about what you want from your sex life is important. It can help bring you closer to your partner(s). It can also help you to avoid confusion.

If you do want to have sex, that's okay too. You should make sure that you know what you both want. This helps you keep sex safe and healthy.

Sex or not, you should feel respected by your partner. You should feel that they listen when you talk. You should feel that you can raise issues if you need. If you don't feel safe, there are people who can help. You do not have to suffer at the hands of your partner.
